Who is Annie K?

Dear Reader,

If you find yourself asking, who is Annie K? Then, you have come to the right place.

I am Annie Kaufman. What you will come to find out, or what you already know, is that I love all things travel. I love the journey, the adventure and the experience of discovering a new place. When I am headed to a new destination, I always ask the same questions. Where is the best place to stay? Where are the best places to eat? Where can I get the best coffee as well as the best cocktail? What are some activities that are unique to that location? I wish there was a travel guide that would put all my wonders at ease! Well, that is precisely what I want to do for you. I want other travelers to use “Away with Annie K” as a guide to point them in the right direction to make the best of their travels. If something is not mentioned, it doesn’t mean it isn’t worthwhile. It simply means I haven’t experienced it. I don’t claim to know it all but I am passionate in sharing places that I love. I also appreciate hearing recommendations!

Aside from being a self diagnosed travelholic, I wear many other hats. I am a wife and mother. I am a RN. I am a total Foodie. I’m a Capricorn. I am sister to sisters (four of them to be exact.) I am Type A with a touch of anxiety. My guilty pleasure: BRAVO.

I hope that you enjoy this passion project of mine! I would love for you to feel inspired to travel and excited to have a few amazing spots on your itinerary. My wish for you is the same philosophy I have adopted for myself: Eat good food. Keep great company. Travel everywhere.
